  • Will SR6 projects break with SR7?

    In almost all cases, no.

    Slider Revolution 7 uses a new editor and engine, but it is designed to be fully compatible with existing SR6 modules. Most projects will continue to work without issues.

    To make this transition seamless, the “Velocity update” (v6.7, released in April 2024) already introduced the SR7 frontend engine as an optional feature and began preparing module data for the new editor in advance.

    When you upgrade to SR7, your existing projects are automatically migrated in the background. There is no need for manual action, and no separate “SR6 editor” is kept alongside SR7 — everything simply runs on the new system.

    For the majority of users, the upgrade should be straightforward and uneventful.

  • Why is Slider Revolution 7 a paid upgrade for one-time payment license users?

    Slider Revolution 7 is a brand-new product, built over three years.

    • We rewrote the visual editor, rendering engine and template system from scratch—no recycled code, no quick-fix add-ons.
    • The one-time fee you paid helped us improve SR for almost a decade, but it couldn’t fund the three-year rebuild or support the decade of updates ahead.
    • The steady revenue from our yearly licences is what made SR 7 possible—and it’s what will keep new features, security hardening and real-human support coming.
    • In short: a single payment fuels yesterday’s code; an affordable yearly plan powers tomorrow’s.

    (Approx. €0.84 per site / year on the Scale plan.)

  • Why retire the One-Time license?

    Sales of the €85 “buy-once” Starter plan have fallen 70% since 2020.

    A big shift has happened: Most web pros now prefer one affordable subscription that issues a fresh key for each new site with one click, so they don’t have to purchase a separate €85 licence every time. Our new yearly plans match that reality, giving you a much lower cost per site while letting us keep Slider Revolution fast, secure, and full of fresh templates.

  • I have a One-Time license. Do I have to switch today?

    No. Your current One-Time key stays valid on every site you’ve already activated.

    We’ll offer 24 months of critical security & “stop-the-show” bug patches for Slider Revolution 6, after version 7 launch.

    What changes: With the One-Time plan disappearing from the shop, you’ll need a yearly key to license any new sites or to upgrade to Slider Revolution 7.

  • What is the Scale plan?

    Scale = 250 site activations for €209 / year. One predictable yearly fee covers every new client project you launch until you reach the 250-site limit—no surprise fees and clear seat rules.

    (There is a fair-use ramp-up: You get up to 25 new domains per month in the first 90 days, then 60 per month after that. That way, nobody can burn through all 250 seats overnight.)

  • Who is the Scale plan for?

  • What happened to the Professional plan?

    A 100-site Professional pack cost €5.333—vs. €209 for the 250-site Scale plan.

  • Why did you remove Slider Revolution from CodeCanyon?

  • I bought on CodeCanyon — what now?

    Your CodeCanyon purchase is recognized as an SR6 One-Time Payment license.
    Slider Revolution 7 and all future versions are available exclusively on sliderrevolution.com.

    How to access your SR6 license:

    We still allow CodeCanyon license imports.
    If you haven’t imported your license yet:

    1. Go to the sign-in page:
      https://account.sliderrevolution.com/portal/
    2. Click “Import CodeCanyon License”
    3. Follow the instructions

    This will automatically:

    • Create your Slider Revolution account
    • Import your CodeCanyon license(s) into our dashboard

    Once completed, you’ll be able to access SR6 from your member dashboard.

  • I purchased a license. How do I get started with Slider Revolution?

    Our powerful Help center offers all kinds of resources to answer any question you might have about Slider Revolution. There you’ll find our manual, FAQs, video tutorials, and definitions. For beginners, we recommend starting with the Quick Setup part of our manual.

    Our support team is also available 24/7 to assist you if you have questions or run into a roadblock. 

    If you’d prefer to start playing around with Slider Revolution, we’d recommend creating a new module and getting a feel for the editor. 

    If you’re new to WordPress or visual design tools, choose the Quick Start Generator option. 

    If you have some experience with visual editors, look over our templates and install one that catches your eye!

  • I want to include Slider Revolution in my theme. Which license do I need?

    Bundling Slider Revolution with a theme/template can be done with a 1 website subscription.

  • Can I use Slider Revolution for commercial projects?

    Yes. Slider Revolution, including all templates and assets, can be used in your commercial projects.

  • The support for my (legacy) one-time license ran out. How can I receive customer support?

    In order to receive access to our Ticket support, you can purchase a one license subscription.

    This will grant you access for one year or until you cancel the subscription and it expires.

    As long as you have at least one active subscription in your account, you will be eligible for our Ticket support.

    You can also consult our constantly updated Help center which will provide quick answers to almost any issue.

  • What happens if my subscription runs out?

    If you cancel your subscription and it runs out, you will lose access to the Slider Revolution premium features like the template library, addons, object library, plugin updates, and customer support.

    What’s more, any modules you’ve built with these premium features will disappear from your site after your license expires.

    Renewing the subscription for this particular domain will let you regain access to all the features.

  • What payment methods can I use?

    We are using the secure and widespread payment processor Paddle. We currently support credit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay.

  • I received Slider Revolution bundled with a WordPress theme. Can I still upgrade to access Premium features?

    Yes! If you want to access all premium features like the template library, addons, object library, updates and customer support, you can opt-in to one of our licensing plans.

    Choose the plan you prefer above, buy the license, and then add the license information into your WordPress plugin.

  • How to add my address and VAT number to my invoice?

  • How many AI credits are included with each license plan? Do AI credits renew?

    Each license plan includes a starting AI credit balance:

    • 1 Website (Starter): 50 credits
    • 3 Websites (Enthusiast): 150 credits (50 per license key)
    • 250 Websites (Scale): 2500 credits (10 per license key)

    Included AI credits automatically refresh with each yearly license renewal.
    The renewal amounts are fixed per plan and cannot be accumulated by canceling and repurchasing.

  • How do AI credits work?

    Some AI features use credits:

    • Image generation: 1 credit per image
    • Background removal (for images generated in SR7): 2 credits per image

    AI text generation does not use credits, but is protected by a generous internal soft cap to prevent abuse.

    Your current credit balance is always visible wherever AI credits are required.

  • What AI features are included in Slider Revolution 7?

    At launch, Slider Revolution 7 includes the following premium AI features:

    • AI image generation using FLUX 1 [schnell] and FLUX 2 [flash]
    • High-quality AI background removal for images generated in SR7
    • AI text generation (powered by ChatGPT API)

    Theme-bundled or unregistered installations do not have access to AI features

  • Are AI credits shared across all my websites?

    No. AI credits are tied to individual license keys, not shared across a license plan.

    Each WordPress installation connected to a license key has its own AI credit balance.

  • Why does my Scale license only show 10 AI credits per site?

    The Scale plan includes 2500 credits distributed across 250 license keys, resulting in 10 credits per site.

    This ensures:

    • Fair usage across installations
    • No single site can consume all available credits

    Each site effectively starts with a small trial balance.
    If a site needs more credits, additional credits can be purchased for that specific license key.

  • What happens when I buy additional AI credits?

    There are two internal credit buckets:

    • Included credits (renew automatically each year)
    • Purchased credits (one-time purchases)

    Included credits are always used first and restored on renewal.
    Purchased credits are added on top and remain available until used.

  • Where can I see my current AI credit balance?

    Your AI credit balance is visible in two places:

    • Inside the Slider Revolution editor, next to AI features that use credits
    • In the Member Dashboard, next to each license key
  • Where can I purchase additional AI credits?

    Additional AI credits can be purchased directly in the Member Dashboard.

    Simply click the AI credit balance next to a license key to choose a one-time credit package:

    • 150 credits – $6 (+tax)
    • 300 credits – $10 (+tax)
    • 600 credits – $18 (+tax)
    • 1000 credits – $25 (+tax)
  • Can I buy more AI credits?

    Yes. Additional AI credits can be purchased as one-time payments at any time.

    Purchased credits:

    • Are added to your balance
    • Are used after your included (renewing) credits
