The AI Translate addon for Slider Revolution allows you to translate layer content into multiple languages using AI, to review and manually refine translations, and control per-layer visibility by language.

After enabling the addon in a module, it adds two areas to the Module Editor:

  • The AI Translate settings panel, where you configure module-level language and translation settings.
  • The AI Translate design panel, where you manage and edit the translated content and/or per-language visibility for a selected layer.

Access the AI Translate settings panel by going to the Top Bar, clicking the Settings button to open the Settings Sidebar, then click AI Translate.

Access the AI Translate design panel by selecting a layer via the Canvas or Layers sidebar, and in the Right Sidebar click the Design icon 1 to enter Design Mode. Then click the AI Translate tab icon 2.

Note that this documentation covers default functionality of the AI Translation addon. To learn more about how to use it in conjunction with WPML please read the tutorial How to Handle Translation with the AI Translate Addon.

AI Translate Settings Panel

The AI Translate Settings Panel contains module-level configuration for the AI Translate addon.

Use it to choose which language version is previewed on the editor stage, define the set of languages the module should be translated into, and run AI translation across all translatable layers.

Editor Behavior Section

In the Editor Behavior section set the engine with which to power translations, and the language to display in the editor.

Translation Engine (Dropdown)

  • Visible when the plugin WPML is installed.
  • Hidden when the plugin WPML is not installed.

WPML is a dedicated translation plugin created by onTheGoSystems. If you have this plugin installed you can choose between using it as the engine for translations, or the engine built into the AI Translate addon.

To learn more about using WPML to handle translations in Slider Revolution, please read the tutorial How to Handle Translation with the AI Translate Addon.

Options:

  • WPML: Handle all translations via the WPML plugin.
  • SR7 AI Translate Addon: Handle all translations via the in-built AI engine.

Show in Editor (Dropdown)

Controls which language version of the layer’s content is displayed on the editor stage for preview and editing. Selecting a language switches text layers to show that language’s translation instead of their default content.

Options:

  • Layer Default Content: Displays the layer’s original, untranslated content on the stage.
  • <Language Name>: Displays the translated content for that language on the stage. For example, selecting German (Deutsch) shows the German translation.

Module Languages Section

  • Visible when Translation Engine set to SR7 AI Translate Addon.
  • Hidden when Translation Engine set to WPML.

In the Module Languages section, define the target languages for the module and trigger AI translation.

Module Languages (Multi-select)

  • Visible when Module Languages section is visible.
  • Hidden when Module Languages section is hidden.

Defines the set of languages this module should be translated into.

Each selected language will appear as its own translation section in the AI Translate design panel for text layers, and as an option in the Show in Editor dropdown.

Options:

  • Arabic (العربية)
  • Chinese (中文)
  • Czech (Čeština)
  • Danish (Dansk)
  • Dutch (Nederlands)
  • English (English)
  • Finnish (Suomi)
  • French (Français)
  • German (Deutsch)
  • Greek (Ελληνικά)
  • Hungarian (Magyar)
  • Italian (Italiano)
  • Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia)
  • Japanese (日本語)
  • Korean (한국어)
  • Persian (فارسی)
  • Polish (Polski)
  • Portuguese (Português)
  • Romanian (Română)
  • Russian (Русский)
  • Spanish (Español)
  • Swedish (Svenska)
  • Thai (ไทย)
  • Turkish (Türkçe)
  • Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt)

Translation Mode (Dropdown)

  • Visible when Module Languages section is visible.
  • Hidden when Module Languages section is hidden.

Controls which languages are targeted when Run Translation is triggered. Selecting Translate Missing Only avoids overwriting translations that have already been created.

Options:

  • Translate All Languages: Re-translates all active module languages, overwriting any existing translations.
  • Translate Missing Only: Only generates translations for languages that do not yet have translated content.

Run Translation (Button)

  • Visible when Module Languages section is visible.
  • Hidden when Module Languages section is hidden.

Triggers AI translation for the module using the current Translation Mode setting, generating translated content for each active language across all translatable layers.

AI Translate Design Panel

The AI Translate Design Panel displays the translated content for a selected text layer.

Use it to review, edit, and regenerate translations per language, control which language version is previewed on the stage, and set per-language layer visibility.

Layer Default Content Section

Layer Default Content (Text)

  • Visible when a translatable layer is selected.
  • Hidden when a translatable layer is not selected.

The original, untranslated content of the layer. This field reflects what is set on the layer itself and serves as the source text from which translations are generated.

In Editor (Button)

  • Visible when Layer Default Content section is currently set as the in-editor preview, or when the cursor is hovering over the Layer Default Content section.
  • Hidden when the cursor is not hovering over the Layer Default Content section and it is not currently set as the in-editor preview.

The In Editor button 1 sets the layer’s default content as the version currently displayed on the editor stage, reverting the stage from any language preview back to the original untranslated text.

<Language Name> Section

  • Visible when at least one language has been added via Module Languages in the AI Translate left sidebar panel.
  • Hidden when no languages have been added via Module Languages.

One section appears here for each language added in the Module Languages setting. Each section heading is the name of the language, for example German (Deutsch).

It contains the translated text for this language, controls for triggering or previewing that translation, and a visibility toggle for the layer in this language.

Translated Text (Text)

  • Visible when <Language Name> section is visible.
  • Hidden when <Language Name> section is hidden.

The translated content for this language. This field is populated automatically when a translation is run, and can also be edited manually to adjust or correct the translation.

Translate this Language (Button)

  • Visible when Translation Engine set to SR7 AI Translate Addon, and <Language Name> section is visible, and a Text layer is selected.
  • Hidden when Translation Engine set to WPML, or <Language Name> section is hidden, or a Text layer is not selected.

Triggers AI translation for this language only, generating or regenerating translated content for this layer without affecting other languages.

WPML Translated (Read Only)

  • Visible whenTranslation Engine set to WPML.
  • Hidden whenTranslation Engine set to SR7 AI Translate Addon.

Indicates the current translation for the selected layer was handled by WPML.

In Editor (Button)

  • Visible when <Language Name> section is visible, and either the cursor is hovering over the <Language Name> section or this language is currently set as the in-editor preview.
  • Hidden when <Language Name> section is hidden, or when the cursor is not hovering over the section and this language is not currently set as the in-editor preview.

Sets this language’s translated content as the version currently displayed on the editor stage, allowing you to preview and edit the layer in this language.

Show if Language is Active (Toggle)

  • Visible when <Language Name> section is visible.
  • Hidden when <Language Name> section is hidden.

Controls whether this layer is shown or hidden on the front end when this language is the active site language.

Options:

  • On: The layer is shown when this language is active.
  • Off: The layer is hidden when this language is active.
