Animation Mode Sidebar
The Animation Mode Sidebar is accessed by going to the Module Editor, then the Right Sidebar, and clicking the Animation icon 1 in the Mode Switcher to enter Animation Mode. Entering Animation Mode also opens the Timeline automatically, and the Stage Top Bar changes to show Animation Mode.

The Animation Mode Sidebar is where animations are applied to layers. It offers two ways of working, called sub-modes. In the Essentials sub-mode you browse collections of ready-made animation presets and apply them with a click. In the Advanced sub-mode you edit the layer's animation targets and keyframes directly.
Selecting a Layer to Animate
The sidebar shows animation options for the currently selected layer, and stays empty until a layer is selected. Select a layer by clicking it on the Stage, or by clicking its track in the Timeline.

To animate the Slide Background, click its track in the Timeline. The Slide Background track sits at the bottom of the Timeline and is listed while the In Animation scene is active.
Animation Collections (Tab Select)
Set which of the layer's three animation collections is shown in the preset browser. The In collection is shown when a layer is first selected. Choosing In or Out also switches the Timeline to the matching animation scene.

Options:
- In: Presets that animate the layer into view.
- Out: Presets that animate the layer out of view.
- Additional: One-shot and looping attention animations that play while the layer is visible, between its in and out animations.
Slide Background Collections (Tab Select)
Set which of the Slide Background's three animation collections is shown in the preset browser. The Transition collection is shown when the Slide Background is first selected.

Options:
- Transition: Presets that animate the change from one slide to the next.
- Pan & Zoom: Presets that continuously move and scale the background image while the slide is shown.
- Filter: Presets that apply filter effects to the background, such as grayscale and sepia.
Preset Browser
Below the collection tabs, the presets of the chosen collection are listed under category headings. Clicking a preset opens its configuration sub-panel, with a live preview, parameters such as direction, strength and easing, and a grid of related presets. Click Apply in the sub-panel to add the animation to the selected layer.

The browser can also be worked from the keyboard. Move the pointer into the grid and the tile under it takes focus. From there the arrow keys move from tile to tile, and into the next category at the edge of one, with each tile playing its preview as it takes focus. Enter or Space chooses the tile you stop on, the same as clicking it.
Presets from the Transition Pack, the Advanced Transitions and Media Reveals, are listed on every site and marked Pro. Choosing one installs the add-on and switches it on for the module, or asks for a license first.
The available categories and presets vary with the collection and the type of the selected layer. Text layers carry additional text-only categories, and the Slide Background has its own separate preset set.
Sub-mode (Tab Select)
Set how animation is edited for the selected layer. The sub-mode switch sits at the bottom of the sidebar.

Options:
- Essentials: The sidebar shows the preset browser, for applying and configuring ready-made animation presets.
- Advanced: The sidebar shows the layer's animation targets and keyframes, for editing the animation directly.
