Text Only Animations

Layers on a slide are animated in the Module Editor. Essentials Mode is one of the two ways to animate them there, where animations are picked from ready-made presets instead of built keyframe by keyframe.

Text layers can use every animation in Essentials Mode. Every preset in In and Out Animations and Additional Animations works on a text layer the same way it works on any other layer, so those are the place to start when animating text.

On top of those, the In tab, which holds entrance animations, and the Out tab, which holds exit animations, show extra groups of presets when a Text or Button layer is selected. These split the text into lines, words or letters and animate each piece in turn. This article covers those extra categories only.

To find them, go to the Module Editor, select a Text or Button layer, and in the Right Sidebar click the Animation icon ¹ in the Mode Switcher to enter Animation Mode.

The In ² and Out tabs are at the top of the sidebar.

The collection tabs show while Essentials is chosen with the switch at the bottom of the sidebar.

Applying a preset follows the same steps in every collection, described in Animation Essentials Mode. Clicking a preset tile opens its configuration panel, where its parameters are set before Apply adds the animation to the layer.

Each preset animates the pieces of text in a set order: from the first to the last, from the last to the first, from the middle outward, from both ends inward, or in random order. The order is given with each preset.

In Collection

The In collection's text categories animate a text layer as it enters. Applying one sets the layer's in animation. There are five text categories: Lines, Words, Letter, Combined Motion and Text Block.

On these presets, Duration is the total length for the selected layer's own text. Each piece of text animates for a set time and starts a set time after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

Beside the Duration value, the configuration panel shows the length the preview plays, in brackets, because the preview uses a shorter sample text.

In Lines Category

The Lines category of the In collection holds six presets that animate the text one line at a time.

In Lines Fade

Each line fades in from transparent, one after another from the first line to the last.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. The delay between one line and the next: 40, 100 or 150 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Medium each line animates for 700 and each starts 100 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Lines Fly In Random

Each line fades in while it moves into place from a random distance and a random rotation, one after another.

Up starts each line between 10 and 200 pixels below its position, rotated up to 50 degrees, and Down starts it above.

Left and Right start it 50 to 200 pixels to the side, rotated up to 90 degrees. Cross starts it up to 200 pixels away in any direction.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Cross, Right, Down. The side each line moves in from, or any side for Cross. Right animates from the last line to the first.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Up each line animates for 700 and each starts 105 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Lines Flip

Each line fades in while it moves one line height into place and rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its horizontal axis to face forward, one after another from the first line to the last.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Down. Up starts each line one line height above its position, and Down one line height below.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each line animates for 800 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Lines Slide

Each line fades in while it moves into place from 105% of its width to the side and rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its vertical axis to face forward.

Parameters:

• _Style: Left, Right, Press Left, Press Right. Left moves each line in from the right, first line first. Right moves each line in from the left, last line first. Press Left and Press Right do the same with the Back curve on each line.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each line animates for 800 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Lines Cycle

The whole layer rotates in 3D to flat while each line fades in from a random offset of up to 70% of its height and a random 3D rotation of up to 70 degrees. The lines start from the middle line and work outward.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Vertical, Horizontal. Vertical offsets each line up or down and rotates it around its horizontal axis. Horizontal offsets it to the side and rotates it around its vertical axis.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each line animates for 970 and each starts 31 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Lines Pop In

The whole layer and each line scale up to full size while they fade in, one line after another from the first.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle starts at 70% with an elastic curve, Medium at 30% and Strong at 10% with the Back curve. It also sets the delay between lines: 65, 40 or 20 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Strong each line animates for 400 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Category

The Words category of the In collection holds seven presets that animate the text one word at a time.

In Words Fade

Each word fades in from transparent, one after another from the first word to the last.

Perspective also rotates the whole layer 80 degrees in 3D from 120 pixels behind its position to flat, and turns each word 60 degrees in 3D to face forward.

Parameters:

• _Style: Light, Middle, Strong, Perspective. Light, Middle and Strong set the delay between one word and the next: 40, 100 or 150 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Middle each word animates for 700 and each starts 100 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Fly In Random

Each word fades in while it moves into place from a random distance and a random rotation, one after another.

Up starts each word between 10 and 200 pixels below its position, rotated up to 50 degrees, and Down starts it above.

• _Direction: Up, Down. Up starts each word one line height above its position, and Down one line height below.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 800 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Slide

Each word fades in while it moves into place from 105% of its width to the side and rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its vertical axis to face forward.

Parameters:

• _Style: Left, Right, Press Left, Press Right. Left moves each word in from the right, first word first. Right moves each word in from the left, last word first. Press Left and Press Right do the same with the Back curve on each word.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 800 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Cycle

The whole layer rotates in 3D to flat while each word fades in from a random offset of up to 70% of its size and a random 3D rotation of up to 70 degrees. The words start from the middle word and work outward.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Vertical, Horizontal. Vertical offsets each word up or down and rotates it around its horizontal axis. Horizontal offsets it to the side and rotates it around its vertical axis.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 970 and each starts 31 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Pop In

The whole layer and each word scale up to full size while they fade in, one word after another from the first.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle starts at 70% with an elastic curve, Medium at 30% and Strong at 10% with the Back curve. It also sets the delay between words: 65, 40 or 20 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Strong each word animates for 400 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Words Split Reveal

The layer fades in while its frame moves into place and hides anything outside it. Each word moves 70% of its height into place while it rotates 220 degrees in 3D around its vertical axis, and each letter moves 120% of its height into place.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Down. Up moves the frame, words and letters up into place, and Down moves them down.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 1200 and each starts 80 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Category

The Letter category of the In collection holds eight presets that animate the text one letter at a time.

In Letter Fade

Each letter fades in from transparent, one after another from the first letter to the last.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. The delay between one letter and the next: 20, 70 or 120 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Medium each letter animates for 700 and each starts 70 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Wave

Each letter fades in while it moves into place from a random offset of up to 30% of its size, one after another.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. Up and Down offset each letter up or down, and Left and Right to the side. Up and Left start with the first letter, and Down and Right with the last.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 850 and each starts 38 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Unfold

Each letter fades in while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around one of its edges to face forward, one after another from the first letter to the last.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The edge each letter rotates around: the bottom edge for Up, the top for Down, the right for Left and the left for Right.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 750 and each starts 45 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Zoom Chars

Each letter scales up from nothing to full size and fades in while it moves 40 pixels in the chosen Direction, one after another from the first letter to the last. The Back curve makes each letter pass full size and return.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction each letter moves in.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 700 and each starts 35 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Fly In

Each letter fades in while it moves one letter size into place and rotates back to level, one after another. The layer hides anything outside its frame while the letters move.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. Up starts each letter above its position, rotated 35 degrees, and Down below it. Left starts it to the left, rotated 90 degrees, last letter first, and Right to the right, first letter first.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Up each letter animates for 700 and each starts 105 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Flip

Each letter fades in while it moves one letter size into place and rotates 90 degrees in 3D to face forward, one after another.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. Up and Down move each letter in from above or below and rotate it around its horizontal axis. Left and Right move it in from the right or left and rotate it around its vertical axis.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 800 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Letter Cycle

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle starts at 70% with an elastic curve, Medium at 30% and Strong at 10% with the Back curve. It also sets the delay between letters: 65, 40 or 20 milliseconds.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default for Strong each letter animates for 400 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Category

The Combined Motion category of the In collection holds seven presets that animate the words and the letters inside them at the same time, each with its own timing. Some also animate the whole layer.

In Combined Motion Headline

The layer hides anything outside its frame and scales from 96% to full size.

Each word moves 120% of its height into place in the chosen Direction, first word first, while its letters fade in and the space between them closes from 16 pixels, from the middle letter outward.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction the pieces of text move in.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 900 and each starts 120 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Cascade

Each word moves 35% of its size in the chosen Direction while it rotates 88 degrees in 3D to face forward, first word first. Its letters fade in while they move half their size into place, last letter first.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction the pieces of text move in.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 1000 and each starts 150 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Swipe

The layer hides anything outside its frame. Each word moves 180 pixels into place in the chosen Direction, first word first, while its letters fade in, straighten from a 22 degree skew and the space between them widens from -9 pixels to normal.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction the pieces of text move in.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 700 and each starts 75 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Lift

The layer hides anything outside its frame and moves 30 pixels in the chosen Direction. Each word moves 20% of its height and each letter 110% of its height in the same direction, one after another from the first.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction the pieces of text move in.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 800 and each starts 34 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Spotlight

The layer scales down from 104% to full size while its letters fade in and the space between them closes from 34 pixels, starting from the middle letter and working outward.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 1100 and each starts 14 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Assemble

Each word scales up from 88% and rotates back to level from a random angle of up to 10 degrees, starting from the middle word.

Each letter fades in while it moves into place from a random offset of up to 90 pixels across and 70 down, rotated up to 40 degrees, in random order.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 700 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Combined Motion Bloom

Each word starts at 90% of its width and 122% of its height and returns to normal on an elastic curve, starting from the middle word.

Each letter fades in and scales up from 30% while the space between letters closes from 22 pixels, starting from both ends of the text.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 900 and each starts 24 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Category

The Text Block category of the In collection holds ten presets that animate the words or letters of a longer text with a short delay between each. The configuration panel previews these presets on a short paragraph.

In Text Block Center Rise

Each word fades in while it moves up 30% of its height and rotates 3 degrees back to level, starting from the middle word and working outward.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 800 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Random Fade

Each word fades in, in random order, each one taking 120 milliseconds.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 120 and each starts 9 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Char Flip

Each letter fades in while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its vertical axis to face forward, in random order.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 600 and each starts 4 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Collapse

Each letter scales up from no height to full height, upward from its bottom edge, one after another from the first letter to the last.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 300 and each starts 3 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Line Slide

Each line hides anything outside it. Each word moves up 125% of its height into its line and rotates 3 degrees back to level, first word first. The Back curve makes each word pass its position and return.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 600 and each starts 20 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Elastic Stretch

Each word scales up from no height to full height on an elastic curve, one after another from the first word to the last.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 700 and each starts 25 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block 3D Scatter

Each word fades in while it moves into place from a random position between 400 and 700 pixels toward the viewer, up to half its width to the side, and rotated up to 90 degrees in 3D, in random order.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 800 and each starts 6 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Char Scatter

Each letter fades in while it moves into place from a random offset of up to half its size in any direction, in random order.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 400 and each starts 3 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Word Flip

Each word fades in while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its bottom edge to face forward, one after another from the first word to the last.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each word animates for 700 and each starts 15 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

In Text Block Depth Turn

Each letter fades in while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around its left edge to face forward and moves forward 60 pixels, one after another from the first letter to the last. The Back curve makes each letter rotate past facing forward and return.

Parameters:

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: The total length for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds. By default each letter animates for 600 and each starts 4 after the one before, so a longer text takes longer.

Out Collection

The Out collection's text categories animate a text layer as it leaves. Applying one sets the layer's out animation. There are four text categories: Lines, Words, Letter and Text Block.

No Easing curve is preselected on the Out collection's presets. Choosing one replaces the preset's own curve.

Out Lines Category

The Lines category of the Out collection holds four presets that animate the text one line at a time.

Out Lines Fade

Fades the whole layer out from full opacity to transparent. The text is not split, so every line fades at once.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle, Medium and Strong set Duration to 500, 700 and 1000.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Default 700. The length of the layer's fade, in milliseconds.

Out Lines Fly In

Each line fades out while it moves its own size out of place and rotates, one after another. The layer hides anything outside its frame while the lines move.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The direction each line moves in. Up and Down rotate each line 45 degrees, and Left and Right 90 degrees. Right animates from the last line to the first.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Shows 500 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the line animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Lines Flip

Each line fades out while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around one of its edges, one after another.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The edge each line rotates around: the top edge for Up, the bottom for Down, the right for Left and the left for Right. Left animates from the last line to the first.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Shows 1000 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the line animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Lines Cycle

The whole layer rotates in 3D away from flat while each line fades out to a random offset of up to 70% of its size and a random 3D rotation of up to 70 degrees. The lines start from the middle line and work outward.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Vertical, Horizontal. Vertical offsets each line up or down and rotates it around its horizontal axis. Horizontal offsets it to the side and rotates it around its vertical axis.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Shows 1250 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the line animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Words Category

The Words category of the Out collection holds four presets that animate the text one word at a time.

Out Words Fade

Fades the whole layer out from full opacity to transparent. The text is not split, so every word fades at once.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle, Medium and Strong set Duration to 500, 700 and 1000.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Default 700. The length of the layer's fade, in milliseconds.

Out Words Fly In

Out Words Flip

Each word fades out while it rotates 90 degrees in 3D around one of its edges, one after another.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Up, Left, Right, Down. The edge each word rotates around: the top edge for Up, the bottom for Down, the right for Left and the left for Right. Left animates from the last word to the first.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Shows 1000 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the word animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Words Cycle

The whole layer rotates in 3D away from flat while each word fades out to a random offset of up to 70% of its size and a random 3D rotation of up to 70 degrees. The words start from the middle word and work outward.

Parameters:

• _Direction: Vertical, Horizontal. Vertical offsets each word up or down and rotates it around its horizontal axis. Horizontal offsets it to the side and rotates it around its vertical axis.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Shows 1250 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the word animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Letter Category

The Letter category of the Out collection holds four presets that animate the text one letter at a time.

Out Letter Fade

Fades the whole layer out from full opacity to transparent. The text is not split, so every letter fades at once.

Parameters:

• _Strength: Subtle, Medium, Strong. Subtle, Medium and Strong set Duration to 500, 700 and 1000.
• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.
• _Duration: Default 700. The length of the layer's fade, in milliseconds.

Out Letter Fly In

Each letter fades out while it moves its own size out of place and rotates, one after another. The layer hides anything outside its frame while the letters move.

Parameters:

The Text Block category of the Out collection holds ten presets that animate the words or letters of a longer text with a short delay between each. The configuration panel previews these presets on a short paragraph.

Out Text Block Center Rise

Each word fades out, one after another from the first word to the last, each one taking 120 milliseconds.

• _Easing: Smooth, Snappy, Back, Bounce, Elastic. The acceleration curve of the animation.

Out Text Block Random Fade

Each word fades out, in random order, each one taking 60 milliseconds.

• _Duration: Shows 600 until changed. A new value sets the total length of the word animation for the selected layer's text, in milliseconds.

Out Text Block Elastic Stretch

Each word scales down to no height, one after another from the first word to the last. The Back curve makes each word stretch slightly before it shrinks.

Out Text Block 3D Scatter

Each word fades out while it moves to a random position between 400 and 700 pixels away from the viewer, up to half its width to the side, and rotated up to 90 degrees in 3D, in random order.
