Filmstrip Addon
The Filmstrip addon for Slider Revolution turns a single layer into a moving strip of many images and videos. Instead of placing one piece of media in the layer, you give the layer a list of media items and choose a layout, and the addon draws and animates all of those items inside the layer’s bounds.
It adds one area to the Module Editor, the Filmstrip design panel, which appears for image, video and shape layers. It does not appear for text, audio, icon, container or navigation layers.
Access the Filmstrip panel by going to the Module Editor, selecting an image, video or shape layer via the Canvas or Layers sidebar, and in the Right Sidebar clicking the Design icon 1 to enter Design Mode. Then click the Filmstrip tab icon 2.

Ten layouts are available. One of them, Marquee (Continuous), scrolls the items in an unbroken loop with no notion of a current item. The other nine step between items and are referred to throughout this document as the navigable layouts. They are Coverflow 3D, Path, Stack, Cascade, Zoom Slide, 3D Showcase, 3D Sphere, 3D Tornado and 3D Spiral. Which settings appear in the panel depends on which of the two groups the chosen layout belongs to, and each layout adds a section of options of its own.
Filmstrip Panel
The Filmstrip panel holds every setting the addon adds to a layer. Use it to switch the addon on for that layer, to choose and configure a layout, and to build the list of media the layout displays.

Filmstrip (Toggle)
Switches the Filmstrip addon on for the selected layer. While this is off the rest of the panel is hidden and the layer displays its own content as normal.

Settings and Slides (Tab Select)
Switches the panel between the two halves of the addon, the layout configuration and the media list.

Options:
- Settings: Shows the layout, motion, interaction and appearance settings.
- Slides: Shows the list of media items the layout displays.
Settings Tab
The Settings tab configures how the strip is arranged, how it moves, how a visitor can interact with it, and how the individual items are sized and styled.

Layout (Dropdown)
Sets the arrangement the media items are placed in and the way they move. This is the setting the rest of the tab works from, so changing it exchanges most of the sections below for a different set.

Options:
- Marquee (Continuous): Runs the items in a single unbroken line that loops around without stopping.
- Coverflow 3D: Lays the items out in a row with the focused item facing forward and the items on either side angled away from it.
- Path: Distributes the items along a drawn path such as a line, wave, arc or circle.
- Stack: Piles the items on top of one another, with each item behind the front one offset and rotated.
- Cascade: Arranges the items in a receding line, with each item smaller than the one in front of it.
- Zoom Slide: Shows the focused item at full size and scales the items on either side of it down.
- 3D Showcase: Wraps the items around a curved surface which the viewer looks at from the outside or from within.
- 3D Sphere: Maps the items onto a continuously rotating sphere, arranged in horizontal rows.
- 3D Tornado: Maps the items onto a continuously rotating funnel, arranged in horizontal rows.
- 3D Spiral: Maps the items onto a continuously rotating helix which scrolls along its own axis.
Direction (Dropdown)
Sets the axis the marquee runs along and the direction of travel along it. Two marquee layers can be given opposing directions to produce rows that scroll against each other.

Options:
- Left To Right: The strip runs horizontally and travels towards the right.
- Right To Left: The strip runs horizontally and travels towards the left.
- Top To Bottom: The strip runs vertically and travels downward.
- Bottom To Top: The strip runs vertically and travels upward.
Cycle Time (Number, range)
Sets how long the marquee takes to complete one full pass of its media list. Higher values move the strip more slowly.

Options:
- 0: Minimum. The strip completes a pass instantly, which leaves no visible travel.
- 1000: Maximum. The strip takes its longest possible time to complete a pass and crawls.
Interaction Section for the Marquee Layout
The Interaction section for the marquee layout sets which visitor gestures the continuously scrolling strip responds to. It appears as Interaction in the panel when Layout is set to Marquee (Continuous).

Drag (Toggle)
Allows the visitor to push the marquee along by dragging it with a pointer or a finger. With this off the strip only moves under its own scrolling.

Pause On Hover (Toggle)
Halts the marquee’s scrolling while the pointer rests over the layer, and resumes it when the pointer leaves.

Mouse Wheel (Toggle)
Allows the visitor to drive the marquee with the mouse wheel while the pointer is over the layer.

Options:
- Hard Cut: The strip is clipped square at the layer’s edges.
- Gradient Fade: The strip fades out towards the layer’s edges.
Fade Size (Number, range)
Sets how far the fade at each end reaches into the strip, as a percentage of the layer’s length along the direction of travel.

Options:
- 0%: Minimum. No fade is drawn and the result matches a hard cut.
- 50%: Maximum. Each end fades across half the layer, so the fades meet in the middle.
Shadow (Toggle)
Draws a drop shadow beneath each item in the strip, and reveals the settings that control that shadow’s colour, blur and offset.

Color (Color Swatch)
Sets the colour and opacity of the drop shadow drawn beneath each item in the marquee.

The Slides tab holds the list of media the layout displays. Each entry in the list is one item in the strip, entries can be reordered by dragging them, and an entry can hold either an image or an HTML5 video.

Media Item Section
Each Media Item section is one entry in the media list and therefore one item in the strip. The section repeats once per entry.

Media Type (Tab Select)
Sets whether this entry holds a still image or an HTML5 video.

Options:
- Image: The entry holds a still image, chosen with the image selector below it.
- HTML5: The entry holds a self hosted video file, chosen with the source field below it.
Preview (Image/Video Preview & Buttons)
Shows the image or video assigned to this entry and the controls for changing it. Hovering the preview reveals a WordPress button which opens the media library, a Slider Revolution button which opens the Elements library, and a cross which removes the entry from the list.

Video File (Text)
Holds the source of the video file assigned to this entry, with the file’s format shown alongside it. A WordPress button opens the media library and a Slider Revolution button opens the Elements library.

Add Multiple (Button)
Opens the WordPress media library with multiple selection enabled, so that several images can be chosen at once and appended to the media list as new entries.

Add Media (Button)
Appends one empty entry to the end of the media list, ready for an image or a video to be assigned to it.
