Setting Different HTML Tags/Elements
By default most layers are wrapped in our one of Slider Revolution’s custom HTML tags, e.g. <sr7-layer>, <sr7-txt>. However for SEO purposes, sometimes you may wish to use a different HTML tag instead.
To change a layer’s HTML tag, follow these steps.
Step 1: Select the layer you want to change.
In this example we will modify a “Headline” text layer to use an <h2> tag, changing from its default <sr7-txt> tag.

Note that in the preview -> window for your module, you can use your browser’s element inspector to see which tag is currently used 1.

Step 2: Go to the HTML Tag setting.
Ensure you are in Design Mode -> 1, then in the right sidebar open the Layer -> panel 2.

Near the bottom of the sidebar, in the Layout Behavior section 1, you will see the HTML Tag setting 2.

Step 3: Select your preferred HTML tag.
Open the HTML Tag dropdown to see the available tag options. Choose whichever one is most suitable.

For our “Headline” example, we will choose the <h2> option 1.

Save the module and the new tag will be applied. It can then be seen in the browser’s element inspector tool 1.
