Is Slider Revolution GDPR-compliant?

Is Slider Revolution GDPR-compliant?

Slider Revolution won’t leak your visitors’ data to us, and it won’t slip third-party content past the consent setup you’ve already put in place.

Whether a website is GDPR-compliant depends on how it’s built and configured. No single plugin can make an entire site compliant on its own, and any tool claiming otherwise should be treated with caution.

  • We don’t track your visitors. Slider Revolution sends no visitor data back to our servers. Everything runs on your own hosting. There’s no phone-home, no analytics, no external calls to us from your visitors’ browsers. (You can verify this yourself in your browser’s Network tab.)
  • Google Fonts are hosted locally. When enabled, all fonts load from your own domain, no request reaches Google’s servers.
  • External embeds respect your consent tool. Slider Revolution integrates directly with the leading consent-management plugins (including Borlabs Cookie, Complianz, Cookiebot, Real Cookie Banner, Cookie Notice, Cookie Yes and GDPR Cookie Compliance) so YouTube, Vimeo and other third-party embeds only load after your visitor has given consent, instead of being injected silently.
  • YouTube No-Cookie Mode is available as an additional layer for embedded videos.

How to enable it

All three settings live in Global Settings (Plugin Dashboard → top bar → Settings):

  • Local Google Fonts: Fonts tab → Font Loading and Caching → set Google Fonts Download to Cache Fonts Locally. You’ll be prompted to pre-cache so the fonts are ready on the front end.
  • Consent-tool integration: System tab → Privacy & GDPR Settings → pick your plugin from the Consent Management Plugin dropdown (Borlabs Cookie, Complianz, Cookiebot, Cookie Notice, Cookie Yes, GDPR Cookie Compliance or Real Cookie Banner). Once set, embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos stay blocked until your visitor gives consent.
  • YouTube No-Cookie Mode: same section → toggle it On so YouTube videos load via youtube-nocookie.com.
