Template Library
Slider Revolution builds modules, which are the sliders, carousels, hero sections and similar blocks placed on a WordPress page. A template is a finished module, with its design, content and animations already set, that is installed and then edited.
The Template Library is the window where the templates are browsed, previewed and installed. Some templates are grouped in packages, which install several related modules together, and some packages also create whole WordPress pages.
This article covers the controls of the Template Library window, the tiles in its grid, the install panel, and what happens when a template or a package is installed. It does not describe individual templates, since the library changes as templates are published.
To open the window, go to the Plugin Dashboard, the Slider Revolution start page in the WordPress admin.
Then click Templates 1 in the menu at the top of the page.

The Template Library opens over the dashboard with All Categories selected.

It also opens from Use a Pre-built Template in the dashboard's New Module Creator, and from the Templates button and Import Template in the Slider Revolution block.
Close (Button)
Closes the Template Library window. The window also closes by itself once a template or package has been installed.

Category Sidebar
The sidebar on the left of the window contains the list of categories, a link to the Help Center, and the copyright and license terms of the library's content.
Categories (Tab Select)
Sets which templates the grid shows, by the kind of module. The selected category is highlighted.

Options:
- All Categories: Shows every template and package.
- Hero: Shows hero templates, a single full size slide at the top of a page.
- Slider: Shows slider templates, with several slides shown one after another.
- Carousel: Shows carousel templates, with several slides shown side by side.
- One Pager: Shows templates for a whole one page website.
- Dynamic Content: Shows templates filled from a content source, such as posts or products.
- Special Effects: Shows templates built around an effect.
Need Help? (Button)
Opens the Slider Revolution Help Center in a new browser tab, where the editor tours, videos, frequently asked questions and tutorials are.

Copyright & License Info (Button)
Opens the copyright and licensing terms of the Slider Revolution library. Tabs on the left of the window show the terms for templates, images, objects, videos, SVG icons and font icons.

The terms state that templates and add-ons from the library may only be used with a registered license key on the website they are used on.
Toolbar
The row at the top of the window contains the search field, the controls that filter and order the grid, and the button that checks for new templates.

Search (Text)
Filters the grid by the title or alias of the template or package, as you type. The search starts from the third character typed.
The search finds modules and packages, but not the modules inside a package. Those are shown with the package's Package Contents button.
Sort (Dropdown)
Sets the order of the tiles in the grid. The dropdown shows the order chosen.

Options:
- Sort By Title (A to Z): Orders templates alphabetically by title.
- Sort By Title (Z to A): Orders templates in reverse alphabetical order.
- Sort By Date (Newest First): Places the most recently published templates first.
- Sort By Date (Oldest First): Places the earliest published templates first.
Top Downloaded (Toggle Button)
Limits the grid to the most downloaded templates. Click it again to show every template.
When Top Downloaded and Favorites are both on, the grid shows the templates that match either one.
Options:
- On: The grid shows only the most downloaded templates.
- Off: The grid is not limited by downloads.
Favorites (Toggle Button)
Limits the grid to the templates marked with the Favorite star. Click it again to show every template.
Options:
- On: The grid shows only the templates marked as favorites.
- Off: The grid is not limited to favorites.
Check For New Templates (Button)
Loads the latest list of templates from the Slider Revolution server, so templates published since the list was last loaded appear in the grid.

Breadcrumbs (Breadcrumb)
Shows Root followed by the name of the open package, in place of the other toolbar controls. Click Root to return to the full grid.

Template Grid
The grid shows a tile for each template and each package. Hovering a tile turns it blue, shows its buttons, and plays a video of the template where one is available.
Template Tile (Readout)
Shows a picture of the template or package, its title, its Type Label and the Favorite star. A long title is shortened.

Type Label (Readout)
Shows whether the tile is a single module or a package of several.
Options:
- Module: The tile installs one module.
- Package: The tile contains several related modules, which are installed together or one at a time.
New Badge (Readout)
Marks a template that is new since the last visit. The badge sits beside the Type Label.
The library remembers which templates each WordPress user has seen. Opening the library marks every template in the list as seen, so the badges clear on the next visit. The first visit marks nothing as new.
Favorite (Toggle Button)
Marks the template or package as a favorite, shown as a star beside the Type Label 1. Favorites are saved on the site and listed with the Favorites button in the toolbar.

Options:
- On: The star is filled and the tile is listed under Favorites.
- Off: The star is empty and the tile is not listed.
Preview (Button)
Opens the live preview of the template on the Slider Revolution website, in a new browser tab. The button shows a magnifying glass 1.

Install (Button)
Opens the Install Panel beside the tile, with the template's details, its requirements and the install buttons. The button shows a plus sign 1.

Package Contents (Button)
Shows the modules inside the package, in place of the grid. The Breadcrumbs in the toolbar show the package's name, and Root returns to the full grid. The button shows a slides icon 1.

Each module in a package has its own tile, with the same buttons as any other template.
Pagination
The foot of the window sets how many tiles the grid shows at once, and moves between pages.

Items Per Page (Dropdown)
Sets how many tiles one page of the grid shows. The choices are multiples of the number of tiles in a row, which depends on the width of the window, plus Show all items. The dropdown reads All Items when every tile is shown.

Page Buttons (Button Group)
Moves between the pages of the grid. The current page is highlighted, and the first and last page numbers are always shown.

Where pages are left out, … is shown in their place. Clicking … moves three pages forward.
Install Panel
The panel opens beside a tile when its Install button is clicked. It shows the template's title, its version, a short description, the requirements and the install buttons. Clicking outside the panel closes it.

Requirements (List)
Lists what the template needs, each with a green check mark where it is met and an orange cross where it is not.

The list names the Slider Revolution version the template needs and each add-on it uses. Registered License is added to the list when Slider Revolution is not registered on the site.
Install Template (Button)
Installs the template as a new module, as described in Installing a Template. Where add-ons in the Requirements are missing, the button reads Install Template & Addons and installs them as well.

Where the template needs a newer version of Slider Revolution than the one installed, the button reads Update To Latest Version instead.
Package Requirements (List)
Lists what the whole package needs, in the same form as Requirements: the Slider Revolution version, each add-on used by any module in the package, and Registered License on a site that is not registered.

Install Package (Button)
Installs every module in the package, as described in Installing a Package. Where add-ons are missing, the button reads Install Package & Addons and installs them as well.
Where the package needs a newer version of Slider Revolution than the one installed, the button reads Update To Latest Version instead.
Create Blank Page (Toggle)
Creates a new WordPress page as part of the install, with the installed module on it, or every module of a package. The page is created as a draft.

For a package that includes whole pages, the switch sets whether those pages are created. With it off, only the package's modules are installed.
Options:
- On: A draft page is created with the installed modules on it, or the package's own pages are created.
- Off: Only the module, or the package's modules, are installed.
Installing a Template
Clicking Install Template installs the template in one step. On a site where Slider Revolution is not registered, the registration window opens instead, and nothing is installed.
Any add-on the template needs that is missing is installed and activated first. A message names each add-on while it installs.
The template is then imported as a new module, in the folder currently open in the dashboard's module list. A message confirms that the template was installed, and the window closes.
With Create Blank Page on, a draft WordPress page is created with the module on it. A window confirms the new page, with Edit Page to open it in the WordPress editor and Show Live to view it on the site.
Installing a Package
Clicking Install Package installs every module in the package. Missing add-ons are installed and activated first, as for a single template.
A new folder named after the package is created in the dashboard's module list, and each module of the package is imported into it in turn. A message confirms that the package was installed.
Some packages also include whole WordPress pages, with their images and menus. For these, a window titled Install followed by the package name opens first and lists how many pages, modules, images and menus the package adds. Nothing is installed until Install is clicked, and Cancel stops the install.
When such a package has finished, a Package Installed window lists the pages created, each linking to its editor. Edit Page and Show Live open the first of them.
