Updates and License Tabs

Updates and License Tabs

On the Plugin Dashboard, the Updates and License tabs are where you can manage plugin and addon updates, and manage license registration for your website.

Updates and License Tabs

The Updates and License tabs 1 area can be found on the Plugin Dashboard, on the right side of the welcome area.

Updates Tab

The Updates tab shows you the current version of Slider Revolution you have installed, and will alert you when updates are available to the plugin or any addons.

When everything is up to date a green check will appear in the tab header, and a green check background will be displayed.

When updates are available to either the Slider Revolution plugin or any addons, an orange exclamation mark will appear in the tab header, and an orange clock background will be displayed.

Installed Version (Read Only)

Displays the currently installed version of the Slider Revolution plugin.

When the installed version is the latest available version, the version number will be displayed in green.

When the installed version is out of date, the version number will be displayed in orange.

Available Version (Read Only)

Displays the version of Slider Revolution available to be installed.

Clicking on the Available Version will take you to the Slider Revolution update history page, where you can read about what’s changed in each version release.

Addons (Read Only)

Displays whether addon updates are available. If all addons are up to date, a green “No Update Available” message displays.

If addon updates are available, an orange message will tell you how many:

System Requirements (Read Only)

Displays a count of how many system requirements have been met. If all system requirements are met, a green count will be displayed.

If any requirements are not met, the count will be displayed in orange.

Clicking the count opens a window displaying details of which requirements are met or not.

After changing server configuration to meet system requirements, the refresh button 1 on this window can be clicked to recheck each item’s status.

Refresh (Button)

Click the refresh button to get a fresh check on all information displayed in the Updates tab.

Update System (Button)

  • Visible when an update is available to the plugin or its addons.
  • Hidden when no update is available.

If updates are available, either for the Slider Revolution plugin or its addons, an Update System button will appear at the bottom of the Updates tab.

If the update is to the Slider Revolution plugin it will be carried out with no further steps.

If there are addon updates, a box will appear telling you which addons need to be updated, and how many modules each is used in. Click the orange Fix All Addons button at the bottom to apply addon updates.

License Tab

The License tab is where you can manage license key registration, and deregistration, for your website.

Status (Read Only)

Displays whether the site currently has a license key registered. Will display a green Registered message if so.

Or an orange Not Registered message if not.

Premium Features (Read Only)

Displays whether Premium Features are enabled. Typically if a license key is registered, premium features are enabled.

Will display a green Enabled message if premium features are active.

Or an orange Disabled message if not.

License Key (Text)

The License Key field is where you should paste your license key in order to register it on the website.

If you have not yet registered a license key on the site, the field will show a message reading Enter your License Key.

Once registered, the field will display the currently active key.

Register License on this Website (Button)

  • Visible when a license has not yet been registered for the website.
  • Hidden when a license has been registered for the website.

On an unregistered site, after pasting a license key into the License Key field, click the Register License on this Website button to complete the registration process.

Note that until you paste a key into the License Key field, the button will be inactive and will instead read No License Key Entered.

Deregister License (Button)

  • Visible when a license has been registered for the website.
  • Hidden when a license has not yet been registered for the website.

On a registered site, if you need to deregister a license key for any reason (e.g. to use it on a different site), click the Deregister License button.
