What’s Changed from SR6 to SR7?

What’s Changed from SR6 to SR7?

With years of evolution behind it, Slider Revolution delivers a transformative update. SR7 rethinks core workflows, introduces dedicated modes for design, animation, and interaction, and organizes the workspace to support every stage of crafting a module.

Streamlined Plugin Dashboard

Light and Dark Modes, Faster Access

The redesigned plugin dashboard layout puts essential tools within immediate reach for everyday tasks.

Key information such as news 1, updates 2, and license status 3 is visible at a glance.

Light and dark modes 1 adapt the interface to different environments and preferences.

From the dashboard, you can start a module from scratch, choose a template, or launch a quick start generator in moments.

New Era Module Editor

Module Editor Rebuilt for Clarity and Speed

The module editor has been rebuilt to make every aspect of creation faster and more intuitive.

The editor back end and live site front end now use exactly the same “Velocity” rendering engine, providing previews that match the final output more accurately.

Switch between dedicated modes for design, animation, and actions. Each mode organizes the workspace around that type of creation, helping you work more efficiently.

Configuration settings now live in a dedicated left sidebar 1, while the right sidebar 2 is fully focused on creation.

New Slides and Layers sidebars put tools and content organization within immediate reach.

Integrated AI tools expand creative options, allowing text and image generation directly inside the editor.

A guided tour walks you through the editor with tooltips or short videos, while inline help tips explain settings on hover.

Dedicated Editing Modes

Focused Modes for Design, Animation and Actions

Switch fluidly between Design Mode, Animation Mode, and Action Mode. Each mode organizes the workspace around a specific task, whether refining visuals, animating layers, or configuring interactions.

Design Mode puts all layout and visual controls at your fingertips, making it easy to adjust layers, styling, and effects.

Animation Mode gives full control over movement and timing. The Preset sub-mode applies one-click premade animations, while the Advanced sub-mode provides detailed control over individual layers, animation targets, and attributes.

Action Mode makes it straightforward to view, organize, and manage all interactions on the current slide.

Top Bar Redesign

Device Sizes, Controls and Previews at a Glance

The device size readout and device switcher now sit side by side, rather than being separated. All active device sizes are visible at once, making switching easier.

Save and Preview are located in the top bar for faster access.

Previews open in a clean window, allowing you to see the module without UI overlays, and leverage in-browser responsive preview tools.

Stage with Device-Specific Bounds

Resize and Preview Modules for Any Screen Size

The Stage replaces the old Canvas, clearly showing the module’s bounds for the currently active device size. Resize handles let you adjust the Stage dimensions to see how your module appears at different widths.

Real-time editing now reflects changes more accurately thanks to the shared “Velocity” rendering engine between editor and live site.

Timeline Focused on Animation

Animate and Organize Across Scenes and Tracks

The Timeline now handles animation exclusively. With layer organization moved to the dedicated Layers panel, the Timeline focuses on keyframe placement, timing and transitions.

Animations are now structured into distinct scenes rather than one continuous timeline, making multi-phase sequences easier to produce.

Sub-tracks let Animation Targets and individual attributes have separate tracks, so each can be animated independently. Track splitting and merging is handled in Animation Mode.

New timeline markers show exactly where to align and coordinate multiple animated elements.

Settings Moved to the Left

Configuration Organized into Dedicated Panels

SR7 clearly separates configuration from editing.

The right sidebar now focuses solely on editing modes: Design, Animation, and Action.

All configuration has moved to the left sidebar. Module-level configuration is done under SettingsModule Configuration, as well as through additional dedicated settings panels.

Navigation behavior is managed through the Settings -> Navigation panel, keeping interaction settings easy to find and adjust.

This structure keeps system-level decisions separate from hands-on editing work.

Streamlined Slide Management

New Slides Panel for Organizing and Previewing

Slides now have their own management panel in the left sidebar. Slide organization and slide-specific settings are accessed directly from this panel.

The feature previously known as Global Layers is now called Static Slide, reflecting its role more clearly within the module.

Each slide can be previewed individually via the Slides panel, making it easier to review your design as you work.

Full Layer Workflow Revamp

New Tools for Layer Management and Editing

Adding, organizing and editing layers now happens via three distinct areas of the module editor.

Add new layers via the Add sidebar, where Quick Add buttons provide fast access to common layer types.

Organize layers through a dedicated Layers panel in the left sidebar.

Edit layers through the new Design, Animate and Action modes.

New layer design features include multi-level box shadows, layered text shadows, and dedicated shape layers.

Integrated AI tools allow text and image generation directly inside the editor, extending creative workflows without leaving the interface.

Design Mode for Visual Creation

Arrange, Style, and Customize Layers

Design Mode provides a dedicated workspace for all visual and layout controls.

Colors, typography, 3D transforms, shadows, and other styling options are organized for fast access.

Every layer can be adjusted and fine-tuned in context, keeping design work separate from animation and interaction tasks.

Animation Mode for Motion and Effects

Apply Presets or Fine-Tune Every Detail

Animation Mode provides a focused workspace for creating and controlling animations on your layers.

Use Preset sub-mode for one-click animations, or Advanced sub-mode to adjust every keyframe in detail.

Animation Targets let you animate separate aspects of a layer independently, and individual attributes can also be animated separately.

Motion paths can be applied at the wrapper animation target for smooth, natural movement, keeping complex sequences organized and easy to manage.

Action Mode for Slide Interactivity

View and Manage All Interactions

Action Mode presents all slide interactions in one view, giving you a complete overview of triggers and responses.

Triggers for slide or scene playback, media, layer changes, and other interactive behaviors are shown in a single, consolidated view.

The interface keeps logic visible as interactions grow, helping you to coordinate and manage complex sequences.

Refined Workflows and New Capabilities

Clearer Workflows, Dedicated Panels and New Modes

SR7 reimagines the editor with new modes, dedicated panels, and refined workflows. Design, animation, and action tools are now clearly separated, settings and layers are easier to manage, and what you see in the editor matches exactly what appears on the live site.

Every change, from layout to motion to interactions, is designed to help you build visually striking modules more efficiently and confidently than ever before.
