This section outlines the terms and conditions under which you are granted a license to use the Slider Revolution plugin and other associated products (“Products”). By purchasing and/or using any of our Products, you agree to abide by these License Terms.
1. Definitions
- Product: Refers to Slider Revolution, including any related materials that may be downloaded separately.
- End Product: The final product that incorporates our Product.
- Single Website: Refers to one unique domain name (e.g., “example.com”) registered on the internet. Subdomains (e.g., “blog.example.com”) and individual sites within a WordPress Multisite environment are considered separate and distinct sites for the purpose of this license. Each requires its own individual license.
- First Party: ThemePunch OHG, the owner and developer of the Product.
- Major Release / Minor Update / GA: “Minor Update” keeps the first digit (n.x); “Major Release” changes it (e.g. 6 → 7). “General Availability” (“GA”) means the date ThemePunch first makes a Major Release generally available for download/purchase.
- Legacy License: A one-time payment/perpetual Slider Revolution license purchased prior to SR7 GA, which covers SR1–SR6 as described in the Terms & Conditions Addendum A (§ 4).
2. Grant of License
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the Product for the version/major release and plan you purchased, under the following terms. Future Major Releases are not included unless expressly stated at the time of purchase, in your account dashboard, or in the applicable license/plan description.
- You may use the Product to create a single End Product for yourself or a client.
- License bundles for multiple websites are equivalent to multiple individual licenses.
3. Version Scope & Lifecycle
Version scope, legacy maintenance, end-of-updates, and compliance checks are described in the Terms & Conditions Addendum A (§ 4 Version Scope & Lifecycle), which is incorporated by reference.
4. Permitted Uses
You may:
- Modify or manipulate the Product.
- Combine the Product with other works to create an End Product.
- Purchase the Product for use in an End Product delivered to a client, subject to the applicable license/plan and (where applicable) the marketplace item license terms. You remain responsible for ensuring the Product is used within the permitted scope and for safeguarding any licence key/activation credentials.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Use the Product for more than one End Product without an additional license.
- Redistribute the Product as stock or as a standalone item.
- Use the Product in “on demand” or “made to order” applications without a separate license.
- Extract components of the Product to use separately from the End Product.
- Use the Product beyond any seat- or site-limit applicable to your license/plan (as shown in your account dashboard or applicable purchase terms).
6. Split Licensing & Third-Party Components
The PHP code portions of the Product are subject to the GNU General Public License (GPL). All other parts of the Product, including but not limited to CSS, JavaScript, images, design assets, and premium templates, library objects, and AddOns, are proprietary intellectual property of ThemePunch OHG and are not licensed under the GPL. These proprietary components are governed strictly by this Agreement. Third-party or open-source licenses may govern some components of the Product. Refer to the Product’s documentation for details.
7. In-Theme Usage & Bundling
You may bundle the Product within a theme created for resale (e.g., on marketplaces) after purchasing a single license subscription, provided you do not modify or manipulate the core Product. However, the end-users of your theme are not granted their own separate license key. They may use the Product as bundled, but will not have access to direct support from us, premium templates, objects, and AddOns, or automatic updates unless they purchase their own individual license for the Product.
8. Scale Plan Fair-Use Policy
Subscriptions operating under a Scale Plan are subject to a fair-use activation schedule. During the first 90 days of the subscription term, activations are limited to a maximum of 10 new domains per month. Following this initial 90-day period, the allowance increases to a maximum of 20 new domains per month. This mechanism is intended to prevent abuse and ensure service stability.
9. Compliance with Laws
You must use the Product in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
10. Termination
This license can be terminated for breach of terms. Severe violations may result in automatic termination without notice. Where required by law, or where set out in the Terms & Conditions Addendum A § 4.8, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure before extraordinary termination unless immediate action is justified.
11. Expiration of Subscription & Live Frontend Restrictions
Upon the expiration, cancellation, or non-renewal of your active subscription, your right to access and display the proprietary components of the Product will be restricted.
- Frontend Visibility: Any Slider Revolution modules (such as sliders, carousels, or hero sections) published on your live website that utilize Premium Templates or Premium AddOns will cease to render and will no longer be visible to your visitors.
- Website Functionality: Your underlying WordPress website will continue to function normally without fatal errors, but the specific Slider Revolution areas relying on premium features will remain hidden until an active subscription is reinstated.
- Backend Access: Furthermore, your access to the premium template library, exclusive add-ons, and live updates within the plugin backend will be immediately revoked. You will not be able to download or import any new premium assets.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
